Itinerary:
The day starts with a 45 minute hike to warm up our legs. Then we start a three hour hike upwards. We enjoy wonderful views, viewpoints: the valley of the Patate River, the Runtun area, the Tungurahua and much more. Arriving at "Las Antenas" we will learn about the fascinating and dramatic history of the evacuation of Baños while enjoying a picnic lunch. We will observe the crater of the volcano just 12 km away, and listen to its natural music.
After the picnic, we will continue on foot or by car, to Little Switzerland, so called because of the similarity of this area to the Alpine countryside. Return by car.
