Itinerary:
Departure from Luna Volcán with private transportation. We will drive to Píllaro, a small town where the pace of life does not seem to belong to this world; on the way, we can admire the Tungurahua and Carihuairazo (another impressive volcano). A little further along the route the snow-capped Chimborazo (6310 m.a.s.l.) where corn and potato fields emerge. Enjoy a road built by hand 100 years ago and we will arrive at an entertaining animal market, where cows, pigs, sheep, guinea pigs and chickens will be exchanged or sold. We will continue the trip to Quisapincha, a small village where you can buy excellent leather jackets, shoes, etc., at comfortable prices, enjoy delicious breads made in a wood oven with the traditional "colada morada" (a local specialty). We will have lunch; on the way back to Luna Volcán we will stop in Salasaca, an indigenous market, the largest ethnic group in the province of Tungurahua, which preserves traditions, customs and political organizations from 500 years ago. Finally we will pass through Pelileo, a town with excellent products and cheap jeans. Good opportunity for shopping.
